Your privacy, plainly.

The short version

We only collect what we need to quote and do your garden work, we never sell your details, your photos stay private, and you can ask us to show, fix or delete what we hold — any time, with one email.

Status Gardens is a Sydney garden-maintenance business operated by Craig (ABN 89 106 347 257). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you give us: contact details (name, mobile, email, preferred contact method); job details (address, suburb, postcode, property type, garden condition, access, services required); photographs, videos or links you upload; and records of our communications. We don’t collect sensitive information and ask you not to include it.

To respond to your enquiry and prepare your quote; to assess the work or arrange a site visit; to schedule, perform and invoice accepted work; and to keep normal business records. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party marketing.

Photos sent with a quote request are used only to assess the work and are never published. Photos of completed work are only published with the customer’s permission, and captions never include a street address.

Only the providers that run our business systems: Google Workspace (email, documents, and our lead register in Google Sheets and Drive), Brevo (the transactional confirmation sent to the email address supplied with a quote request), Google Analytics when a visitor allows analytics, and our website hosting provider. We use these providers to deliver the services described here and do not sell customer information. We’d only disclose information beyond this if the law required it.

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It uses a first-party cookie to distinguish browser sessions and helps us understand page visits, general traffic sources, device and browser types, approximate location, and non-identifying actions such as starting or successfully submitting a quote request. We do not send form answers, names, contact details, addresses, exact postcodes, photographs or quote reference numbers to Analytics, and page URLs are recorded without query parameters.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. The quote form also saves an unfinished draft in your browser so you can finish later; that draft remains on your device until you submit or dismiss it.

Access is limited to Craig, protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. We keep enquiry details only as long as needed for quoting and any resulting work, then as required for business and tax record-keeping (generally 5 years). Enquiries that don’t become jobs are deleted after a reasonable period.
